
Plattsburgh No. 1 in 2024-25 SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Preseason Poll
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC releases its 2024-25 men's ice hockey preseason poll as voted on by the conference coaches. Plattsburgh sits at the top of the poll while Oswego is No. 2 and Cortland is No. 3.
In 2024, Plattsburgh advanced to the league championship game as the No. 3 seed. The Cardinals ended their season after a 3-2 overtime loss to No. 4 Cortland in the final game. Plattsburgh leads the league with 24 overall conference crowns.
Oswego entered the 2024 SUNYAC post season ranked No. 2, but was defeated by the Cardinals in the conference semifinal, 3-2 in overtime. The Lakers finished the 2023-24 season 16-9-1 overall. In 2025, the team looks to win their 11th overall conference title and first since 2014.
As the No. 4 seed, Cortland won the 2024 SUNYAC men's ice hockey championship. With the win, the Red Dragons clinched the program's first-ever conference crown. Cortland finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 18-9-2.
