
Oswego Sweeps SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Oswego teammates Travis Baker, Brandon Milberg and Jesse Horacek are the SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week, Goaltender of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively.
The Lakers hosted their annual white out game against Plattsburgh on Friday night. The third goal of the night came on an unassisted effort from Bakers to increase the lead to 3-0. On Saturday against Potsdam, after the Bears tied the game at one, Baker broke the tie at the 15 minute mark for his second goal of the weekend. Later, he assisted on the 4th goal of the game for Oswego in a big 6-1 conference win.
Milberg got the start for the Lakers on white out weekend and kept both teams at bay. Against the Cardinals, Milberg came up with 23 saves in a big 5-1 win. The next day against Potsdam, he saved 15 more shots in another 6-1 win over the Bears. For the weekend, he collected a .950 save percentage, 2 wins, and a 1.00 GAA.
In the first White Out game of Horacek's career, he notched the second goal of the game to give the Lakers a 2-0 lead in the third. On Saturday against Potsdam, he went on to assist on two more goals increasing his weekend to +5 with 3 points.
