Morris, Barbeau and Paone Earn SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Fredonia's Luke Morris and Charles-Anthony Barbeau and Oswego's Nico Paone have been chosen as the Men's Ice Hockey Athlete, Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.
Morris had two nearly identical performances. In a pair of 2-0 SUNYAC victories over Potsdam and Plattsburgh this weekend, he scored the first goal of the game both nights, both proving to be game-winners as the Devils claimed a pair of conference wins.
Barbeau had two nearly identical performances. In a pair of 2-0 SUNYAC victories over Potsdam and Plattsburgh this weekend, he made 32 saves both nights for a total of 64 saves and no goals allowed as he Devils claimed a pair of conference wins.
The Lakers earned a big SUNYAC win over the Morrisville Mustangs on Friday by a score of 5-0. Freshman Paone netted two goals in the game on 6 shots for a total of 2 points. He has a total of 5 points on the season with 2 goals and 3 assists.
