
Eisert Repeats as SUNYAC Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - For the second year in a row, New Paltz's Rachel Eisert is the SUNYAC Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year. This award is nominated and voted on by the conference sports information directors.
Eisert had a 4.0 in the fall semester for an overall GPA of 3.91 as a communications disorders major during the best season to date for any soccer player at New Paltz.
Eisert was named to her second Academic All-America selection and became just the second Hawk ever to be named an All-American, landing on United Soccer Coaches second team. She was additionally named United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-Region and won her second-straight SUNYAC Player of the Year after setting new single season program records for goals and points. Eisert was also named the SUNYAC MVP after leading the Hawks to their second overall SUNYAC title.
