
Rachel Eisert Recognized with SUNYAC's Dr. Dolores Bogard Award
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC honors New Paltz's women's soccer student-athlete Rachel Eisert with the 2025 Dr. Dolores Bogard Award as nominated and voted on by the member institutions. This award is presented annually to a senior athlete with the best combination of academic and athletic ability with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30.
Eisert was named the 2024 SUNYAC and the SUNY Division III Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She was also a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American, D3Soccer.com All-American second team and US Soccer Coaches All-American second team. Eisert majored in communication disorders at New Paltz and graduated with a 3.91 overall GPA.
On the field Eisert was named the 2024 SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year and she earned All-SUNYAC first team and All-Region first team. Eisert was named the 2024 SUNYAC Tournament MVP after leading her team to the win the program's second-ever SUNYAC women's soccer championship (first in 2011). In the 2024 season, she started in all 20 games and holds the program's record of single season goals (15) and points (34). She tied for third in assists (4), totaled 84 shots with 52 on goal for a .619 shot on goal percentage. Eisert had five game winning goals and holds the all-time program record for goals (42), assists (17) and points (101).
Dr. Dolores Bogard was an administrator and coach at Cortland for over twenty years. She served as SUNYAC President during the 1987-88 year. Click here to see past winners.
