New Paltz's Bernstein and Harrison Honored with SUNYAC Softball Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has picked New Paltz teammates Juliet Bernstein and Jullian Harrison as the first 2023 Softball Athlete and Pitcher of the Week respectively.
Berstein helped her team to a doubleheader sweep to start off the 2023 season, hitting .600. She had three hits and three runs with a double and a grand slam in game one with a perfect fielding percentage on three catches and three put outs.
Harrison pitched a gem against Rutgers-Camden in her season debut, throwing four innings, giving up just one hit, no walks and three strikeouts for a perfect 0.00 ERA in the 16-0 win. She also hit for herself, helping her own cause by going 3-for-3 with three RBI and a walk.
