SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has picked Oneonta's Julia Serena as the final Softball Athlete of the Week for the 2023 season and Elisabeth Eberhardt from Geneseo was named the Pitcher of the Week.

In Oneonta's 4-2 week, sophomore Julia Serena finished 9-for-21, for a .429 batting average and a 1.000 slugging, hit three home runs, three doubles, and recorded 12 RBI and six runs. She tallied five RBI in the Red Dragons split doubleheader against Hamilton and went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in their game one win against the Continentals, then finished 2-for-5 with three RBI in their one win against Fredonia. Serena capped the weekend off going 5-for-7 with two home runs and four RBI in Oneonta's doubleheader sweep at Buffalo State. She finished the regular season leading the SUNYAC in doubles (18) and extra base hits (22).

Eberhardt threw two complete games over the weekend for the Knights and a total of 12.1 innings while not allowing a run. Eberhardt threw a complete game shutout against Plattsburgh in a 2-0 win, and then shut down Potsdam the next day in an 8-0 win. She only allowed six hits and struck out 10 batters.
