2023 SUNYAC Softball Championship Tournament - Day 2
NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - Four teams remain in the SUNYAC softball championship tournament after day two concluded on Friday at New Paltz's Mary Gray Deane Field.
Buffalo State avoided elimination by defeating New Paltz, 2-0, in eight innings in the first game of the day. Geneseo remained unbeaten and gave Cortland its first loss with a 3-2 win in 10 innings. Buffalo State sent Oneonta home after a 6-3 win in the third game of the day. New Paltz stayed alive and eliminated Cortland after a 5-0 win in the final game Friday.
Geneseo will face New Paltz at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The Buffalo State Bengals will play at 1:30 p.m. with their opponent depending on the results of the first game.
