2023 SUNYAC Indoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Performance Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC announces the 2023 Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Most Outstanding Performance honorees. After the completion of the SUNYAC championship meet the conference coaches nominated and voted for this award which recognizes unique or objectively superior performances at the conference championship. Geneseo's Katelyn Jacques and Ezra Ruggles have been selected as the 2023 awardees.

Jacques won both the triple jump (12.04m) and the long jump (5.53m) at this year's SUNYAC indoor track and field championship meet. Her 12.04-meter triple jump mark is currently ranked sixth in Division III in 2023 and second in Geneseo school history. Jacques long jump distance is ranked eighth in school history.

At the 2023 SUNYAC indoor track and field championships, Ruggles broke the conference meet record in the mile with a 4:08.39, which is currently ranked 11th in Division III this season. The previous meet record was set in 2017 at 4:08.76 by Collin Mulcahy (Fredonia). Ruggles also finished second overall in the 3,000-meter run at the conference championship meet.
