SYRACUSE, NY – Oswego sophomore forward Katie Delgrosso and Plattsburgh senior goalkeeper Julia Ennis have been selected as the first SUNYAC Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week of 2022 in the sport of women's soccer.
Delgrosso powered the Lakers to a 2-0 week and back-to-back 7-0 victories by accumulating eight points on four goals. She scored twice, including the game-winner on Sept. 1 in the shutout victory at Cazenovia, then added two more goals on Sept. 3 in the 7-0 blanking at home vs. Canton. Delgrosso's four goals already doubles her entire output for the 2021 season in just two games.
Ennis led the Cardinals to a pair of wins during the week by securing a 2-0 victory at Castleton on Sept. 1 and a 1-0 home victory vs. Skidmore on Sept. 4. The veteran netminder totaled eight saves during the two non-conference games, recording four stops in each of her team's victories to start the year.
