SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has selected Kirsten Villemaire from Plattsburgh and Ashleigh Scheidweiler from Geneseo as this week's Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

Villemaire had an outstanding week for Plattsburgh posting goals in their games versus St. Lawrence and Oswego while assisting on the game-winning goal versus the Lakers. She had the team's only goal in their win over St. Lawrence, netting the game-winner in the second half. She assisted on the game's first goal in the win versus Oswego and also had the game-sealing goal with an unassisted score in the second half.

Scheidweiler helped lead the Geneseo defense to a pair of shutouts this week, only allowing three shots on goal over the two games. Against Oswego, Sheidweiler and the Knights only allowed one shot on goal in a 0-0 tie, and then against New Paltz she recorded the assist on the game-winning goal in the 85th minute and helped hold the Hawks to just two shots on target.
