GENESEO, N.Y. - Cortland topped Geneseo, 2-1, in overtime to win its 16th overall SUNYAC field hockey championship and first since 2017, Saturday at Geneseo's College Stadium. With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the NCAA DIII tournament.

Lilly Spitz from Geneseo is the 2022 field hockey awardee. Spitz is a sophomore pre-childhood/special education major with a concentration in Spanish and holds a 3.96 GPA.
