SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Brockport teammates Paige Thowe and Ella Buchanan have been named the SUNYAC Field Hockey Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week Respectively.

Thowe totaled six points from three goals in two games for Brockport last week, as the team defeated Medaille and Oswego. The Golden Eagles dominated Medaille, 5-0, in a non-conference matchup. Paige would score back-to-back goals in the third quarter, separated by only one minute and one second. She was a threat all game, placing four of her six shots on frame. Thowe then came back with what became the game-winning goal in a, 1-0, win over Oswego in SUNYAC play. Brockport is now on a three-game win streak with an 8-5 overall record and a 2-2 mark in the conference.

Buchanan has been in net to help the Golden Eagles shutout three straight opponents, including two wins over Medaille and Oswego this past week. She was in net for 52:44 in the team's, 5-0, win over Medaille without allowing a goal. In the next game against Oswego, Buchanan came up with five saves on the way to a, 1-0, win for Brockport on the road. Going for 58:23 of action she allowed no goals to score once again. Brockport is now on a three-game win streak with an overall record of 8-5 and a 2-2 mark in the SUNYAC.
