No. 24 Plattsburgh Men’s Basketball Receives At Large Bid For 2019 NCAA DIII Tournament

NDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Committee announced on Monday the field of 64 teams for the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship and No. 24 Plattsburgh State has been awarded an at large bid.
 
Sixteen sites will host four teams for first and second round competition Friday-Saturday, March 1-2. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional-round sites March 8-9.
 
Winners of the four sectional games will advance to the semi-finals and finals March 15 and 16. All games, except the semi-finals and finals, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions. The semi-finals and finals will be conducted at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN.

The Cardinals will travel to Willamstown, Ma. to play Gwynedd Mercy for the first round of the tournament.

Plattsburgh State is 20-6 overall while the Griffins are 19-8 and just won the Atlantic East Conference Championship.

The other first round game is between the Williams College Ephs (20-6) and the Husson Eagles (17-10).

Williams is currently ranked 16th in D3hoops.com and recently lost in the NESCAC Semifinal while Husson won the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.

Time have yet to be determined.
