Q&A:

  1. Which professional athlete do you have the most respect for? I grew up watching both Bria Hartley and Skylar Diggins play point guard for their college teams. I respect both of them for their accomplishments as college players and as professional athletes.
  1. What's your competition day meal? I honestly don't really have anything specific, it's usually something different every game.
  1. What age did you start competing in your sport? I've always been around the game of basketball. I come from a family of basketball coaches. I was always in a gym or with a basketball from when I could walk. I formally started playing on a youth center team at the age of 7.
  1. Do you have a hidden or special talent? I am not really sure how special this talent is, but I can say the ABC's backwards.
  1. What is your career goal post college? I think I would like to return to Long Island and be a high school Biology teacher and possibly a coach.
  1. What's on your music playlist? My playlist is all over the place. I can go from hip-hop/rap to R&B to pop and then country every once and a while.
  1. Do you have any pre-competition rituals? I have a couple things I have to do before each game. I have to put on my right shoe before my left. Also, when I walk in the gym I need to make three form shots in a row before I start shooting around.
  1. What's the best advice anyone has given you? My grandpa is someone who has been around the sport of basketball for a while and has given me some great advice. His best advice for me is to never give up and keep playing the game until the last buzzer.
  1. What are your hobbies outside of your sport? I've always been a three-sport athlete, so when I'm not in season I enjoy playing intramural sports.
  1. What's your favorite memory since competing for your institution? My favorite memory just happened this past Saturday when I hit a buzzer beater three to put us in to overtime. Then in overtime I hit the game winning shot. It was a moment I will never forget.
