Brockport Claims Multiple Top 20 Finishes at Nationals

Birmingham, AL – Several Golden Eagles competed at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Mia Montgomery was able to place 14th in the women's long jump event. She registered a distance of 5.44 meters for a top-15 finish in the nation.
 
Sarah Crockett was able to make it inside the top-20 for the weight throw. With her recorded throw of 16.29 meters, she placed 18th in the event at nationals. Crockett is back in action on Saturday to compete in the shot put.
 
In the preliminary races for the men's mile, Jonathan Zavala ran a 4:09.48 for the 13th best time for the day. With only 10 runners advancing to the event finals on Saturday, Zavala's indoor season comes to an end.
 
Dustin Meyer and Josh Jeziorski both competed as well on day one. Meyers ends his first collegiate indoor season inside the top-20 for the pole vault. Jeziorski is also top-20 in the country in the long jump.
 
The second and final day of the NCAA Indoor Championships is on Saturday. The indoor season will officially come to an end following tomorrows set of events. All the action begins at 11am.
