New Paltz No. 1 in Field Hockey Preseason Poll
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - New Paltz was voted No. 1 in the 2022 SUNYAC field hockey preseason poll as voted on by the league coaches. The Hawks clinched the program's sixth overall conference trophy in 2021 all under the leadership of current head coach Shanna Szablinski.
Cortland, ranked No. 2 in the poll, leads the conference with 15 overall titles and looks to win its first crown since 2017. Geneseo, voted third in the preseason poll, will compete for its fourth overall league title.
