SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC honors Geneseo's Jason Rappazzo as the 2023 Men's Indoor Track and Field Scholar Athlete of the Year. This award is nominated and voted on by the conference sports information directors.
Rappazzo posted a 4.0 fall GPA and has a cumulative GPA of 3.83 as an economics major. He was a two-time national champion at the 2023 NCAA Division III meet, taking part in the distance medley relay (DMR) and the 4x400 relay, where the Knights took the top spot. The 4x400 relay time of 3:11.64 was a new NCAA championship meet record and SUNYAC record while the DMR time of 9:48.39 was a meet record.
