OSWEGO, N.Y. - Geneseo won its 11th straight and 21st overall SUNYAC women's cross country championship, Saturday at the Fallbrook Recreational Center in Oswego, N.Y. Brockport finished second and Cortland was third. Oneonta sophomore Megan Francoeur won the 6K race finishing the course in 22:40.5.

Enshrinement into the Hall of Fame is attained by meeting one of the following three criteria:
Finishing in the Top 5 during one championship
Finishing in the Top 10 during two championships
Finishing in the Top 15 during three championships
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
This year there is a four-way tie for the SUNYAC women's cross country Elite 20 award. All maintaining a 4.00 GPA, the SUNYAC recognized Kristin Kelemen from Fredonia, an English adolescence education major; Katherine Peterson from Geneseo who is undeclared; Veronica Szygalowicz from Geneseo who is majoring in Biology, socio-medical sciences; and Sabrina Mena from Oneonta who is a Dietetics major.
