Coyle and Haber Earn SUNYAC Volleyball Weekly Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has named Brockport's Andrea Coyle the Women's Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week and Geneseo's Emily Haber the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Coyle helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 3-0 week with wins over Houghton, a conference win over New Paltz Friday night, and another conference win over Oneonta on Saturday. Coyle finished the week with 46 kills and just seven errors on 112 attempts for an impressive .348 hitting percentage along with two service aces. In total, Coyle earned 51.0 total points averaging 4.6 points per set. Defensively, she recorded 43 digs and five total blocks from four block assists and one solo block. In the team's conference opener against New Paltz, Coyle had 18 total kills with a .259 hitting percentage and one service ace, and one block assist finishing with 19.5 points. In the Golden Eagles' 3-0 set sweep against Oneonta, Coyle had a .481 hitting percentage finishing with 13 kills in 27 attempts with no attack errors. Coyle now leads the SUNYAC in kills (175) and kills per set (3.43). Coyle also ranks second in the conference behind teammate Jordan Thompson in points (206) and points per set (4.0).

Senior libero Haber tallied her 1,000th career dig for the Knights over the weekend. She finished the two matches with 43 digs at a clip of 6.14 per set. In a three-set win over Oneonta she recorded 23 digs, and then against New Paltz she tallied the 1,000th career dig early in the fourth set as she finished with 20 digs. Haber also recorded three service aces and eight assists.
