Geneseo Takes Home 2022 SUNYAC Men's Cross Country Title

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Geneseo won its eighth-straight and 20th overall SUNYAC men's cross country championship, Saturday at the Fallbrook Recreational Center in Oswego, N.Y. Brockport finished second and Cortland was third. Geneseo junior Nick Andrews won the 8k race crossing the line in 25:28.5.

Enshrinement into the Hall of Fame is attained by meeting one of the following three criteria:

Finishing in the Top 5 during one championship
Finishing in the Top 10 during two championships
Finishing in the Top 15 during three championships

Elite 20

The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.

This year there is a tie for the men's cross country both holding a 4.0 GPA, the SUNYAC honored Adam Schreiber from Cortland who is a sport studies major and Noah Bonesteel from Plattsburgh majoring in studio art.
