SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has selected Mackenzie Williams from New Paltz as the Women's Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week and Emily Haber from Geneseo as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Williams was the offensive catalyst for the Hawks in their two 3-0 sweeps over Fredonia and Buffalo State this past weekend. She totaled 12 kills and averaged four kills per set while hitting .346 with a game-high five aces to lead her team with 17 points in the win. Against the Bengals, she continued her impressive play with a game-high 17 kills in a three set match to average a staggering 5.67 kills per set, while hitting .314 with three aces to go along with eight digs and a block.
Haber led the Knights defensive effort over the weekend, tallying 41 digs over a pair of straight-set victories against Potsdam and Plattsburgh. Haber posted 6.83 digs per set over the weekend, while tacking on three assists, two aces, and a kill.
