SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has picked Cortland's Keirra Ettere as this week's Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week and Jennifer Tumino from Oneonta as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Ettere helped lead Cortland to a pair of conference wins last week as the Red Dragons secured the second seed in the upcoming SUNYAC Tournament. She tallied two goals in an 11-0 win at Morrisville on Wednesday and netted the game winner with 5:42 remaining in regulation in a 2-1 home victory versus New Paltz on Saturday. For the season, Ettere leads the Red Dragons in scoring with 25 points on a team-high 12 goals and one assist
Tumino helped Oneonta clinch a spot in the SUNYAC playoffs. After posting nine saves in a tough battle against Skidmore on Wednesday, Tumino saved four shots in a 1-0 shutout victory over Brockport, securing the Red Dragons playoff spot.
