SUNYAC announces final women's outdoor track and field athletes of the week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference happily announces the last weekly awards for Women's Outdoor Track and Field. This weeks Track Athlete of the Week is Elisabeth Plympton from Plattsburgh.  This weeks Field Athlete of the Week is Audrey Miller from Brockport. 

Plympton won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.51 and won the 200-meter dash in 25.63 at the Saints Twilight Invitational hosted by St. Lawrence on Saturday. Plympton continues to lead the SUNYAC and remains ranked in the Top-25 in Division III in both events.

Miller kicked off the weekend with a pair of impressive performances in the Penn Relays. She first competed in the shot put and finished in 19th with a mark of 12.95m (42'5.75"). The next day the senior recorded a third place finish in the javelin throw after reaching a distance of 45.59m (149'6"). Miller then competed in the Cardinal Classic and broke the facility record with a throw of 39.92m. The mark was also enough for her to take first place in the event.
