
Reichman wins 3-meter dive; Geneseo sweeps 800 freestyle relays
BUFFALO, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's and women's swimming and diving championships kicked off Wednesday at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center in Buffalo, NY. The meet began with the women's 3-meter dive and the men's and women's 800 freestyle relays.
Geneseo women won the 800 free relay in a time of 7:40.82 (Sydney Ng, Rachel Wallisky, Kelly Lennon, Nancy Nasky) while the Geneseo men also won the relay touching the wall in a meet record time of 6:51.17 (Mitchell Phelps, Matthew Modelewski, Sean McClellan, Harry Harkins).
Geneseo's Samantha Reichman won the women's 3-meter SUNYAC title with 537.45 points. Teammates Kiersten Coates (480.50) and Alyssa Vadala (465.20) finished second and third respectively.
The meet continues Thursday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
