
New Paltz women's tennis takes top seed into championship
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tennis championship bracket it set after the final conference matches were completed Sunday night. New Paltz clinched the No. 1 seed with three wins this weekend to finish 7-0 in regular season conference play.
The top-seeded Hawks will take on No. 4 Fredonia Saturday at 1 p.m. The winner of that game will move on to the championship match Sunday at 1 p.m.
Second seeded Oneonta will face No. 3 Geneseo at 4 p.m. on Saturday with the winner advancing to the finals on Sunday to face the winner of New Paltz/Fredonia
Geneseo leads the conference with 11 overall titles winning the crown for the last seven season, while Cortland has seven overall and New Paltz has four.
