
SUNYAC announces weekly women's lacrosse honors
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) names Potsdam's Cayla O'Connor (Dexter, N.Y.) and Brockport's Lyndsie Pratt (Littleton, Colo.) as Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
O'Connor had 10 goals and 20 draw controls in a 1-1 week for the Bears. She scored a career-high six goals in an 18-7 win at Plattsburgh on Wednesday. O'Connor also picked up six ground balls, six draw controls and caused three turnovers. O'Connor and Potsdam have two conference games coming up this week against Oneonta and Fredonia.
Pratt was a huge factor in the Golden Eagles three-win week. The sophomore from Littleton, CO dominated the defensive side of the ball in all three games. Pratt accounted for 13 draw controls while adding three caused turnovers and six ground balls. Pratt and the Golden Eagles look to stay hot as they travel to Fredonia and Oneonta for two big conference games.
