CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Geneseo sophomore Ivan Fedorov (Croton on Hudson, N.Y.) as the Men's Swimmer of the Week, and Fredonia sophomore Patrick McCormick (Grand Island, N.Y.) as the Men's Diver of the Week.
Fedorov was a double-winner at the Ithaca Bomber Invitatoinal as he came away victorious in the 200 freestyle (1:54.56) and 500 freestyle (5:01.24), setting personal records in both events.
Patrick McCormick was the top diver after Fredonia's meet in Cortland over the weekend. He finished with a score of 252.20 off the 1-meter board, and 241.20 off the 3-meter. This is the second time McCormick has won a 3-meter and his first 1-meter victory this season.
