
Cortland's Kashmer, Outing honored as Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced Cortland's Zach Kashmer (Chili, N.Y. / Churchville-Chili) as Field Athlete of the Week and Micheal Outing (Farmingdale, N.Y. / Farmingdale) as Track Athlete of the Week.
Kashmer finished in third place out of ten competitors at the Brockport Alumni and Multi Invitational. His highest scoring events were 752 points in the 60-meter dash (7.38 seconds), 749 points in the high jump (1.94 meters/6'4.25") and 744 points in the 60-meter hurdles (9.01 seconds). He finished with an overall score of 4,689 points and currently ranks second nationally in Division III. His high jump is also an AARTFC qualifier.
Outing competed at the Cornell Greg Page Relays over the weekend and finished in third place out of 24 competitors in the 60-meter hurdles. His time of 8.25 seconds in the finals ranks him third nationally in Division III and is an AARTFC qualifying time.
