Cortland's McGuire named SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Cortland sophomore Shannon McGuire (West Babylon, N.Y. / West Babylon) as the Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
McGuire hit the game-tying three-pointer with two tenths of a second left in regulation and made the game-winning reverse layup with six seconds left in overtime in Cortland's 64-63 win at SUNY Poly Saturday. She finished with 17 points, six rebounds and a career-high five assists.
