SUNYAC names Women's Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Swimmer of the Week is New Paltz's Nicole Lee (Farmingdale, N.Y. / Farmingdale) and the Diver of the Week is Brockport's Loren Sayers (Elmira, N.Y. / Elmira).
Lee was an important part of the Hawks 142-116 win over Ramapo College on Saturday. She placed first in three different events, while also adding a second place finish to her day. She won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.51 seconds and then won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.32 seconds. Lee also helped the New Paltz team win the 200 freestyle relay as the team finished with a time of 1:45.24. Her second place finish came in the 200-yard freestyle as she finished with a time of 2:08.31.
Junior diver, Sayers, was strong at the Blue Devil Invitational where she won both diving competitions. She finished the 1-meter dive with a score of 422.60 and the 3-meter dive with a score of 442.60.
