Callejas and Terra picked as Mens Soccer Athletes of the Week
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Postdam junior Alejandro Callejas as the Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week and Oswego sophomore goalkeeper Brian Terra as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Callejas scored three goals and contributed one assist for the Bears in a 2-1 week. He scored a game-tying goal against SUNY Canton, the first goal of his career, and later assisted on the game winning goal helping Postdam to a 2-1 win. In the next game against Sage, Callejas scored twice and led Postdam to a 4-1 win.
Terra was important for the Lakers in net during their 2-1 week. He allowed only three goals out of the twelve shots on goal during 270 minutes played. The sophomore came up big in Oswego's 1-0 win over Utica making two saves and completing the shutout.
