CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces its 2019 women's basketball individual awards and all-conference teams, which are nominated and voted on by the conference coaches.
Player of the Year - Lindsay Bettke, New Paltz
After another spectacular year, Lindsay Bettke has been named to her second straight First-Team All-SUNYAC. The Hawks clinched the top seed this season by going 17-1 in conference play and Bettke was an essential part to their success starting 26 out of 27 games. The Pelham native averaged 15.6 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, 3.2 assists per game and 1.3 steals per game. Bettke was a key contributor in helping New Paltz win the 2019 women's basketball SUNYAC Championship, averaging 21.5 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game and 3 assists per game. Bettke and the Hawks look to continue their success in the NCAA tournament.

A graduate from Cardinal Spellman in the Bronx where she earned CHSAA first team in 2017-18, Devyn Elliot, a freshman forward, dominated in the paint and the boards averaging 16.8 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. Elliot started all but one game for the Bears with top games coming against SUNY Canton where she dropped 31 points and 9 rebounds in a win for the Bears.
