Q&A

1. Which professional athlete do you look up to? I know it might sound cliché coming from a women's soccer player, but I would have to say that I look up most to the all the USA women's soccer players. Specifically, Abby Wambach and Mia Hamm for all they have accomplished in their careers as professional athletes.

2. What's your game day meal? Coach Misiak always gets us pasta before games and pizza and wings for post-game meals. I always joke around with my team about how if we did not play soccer we would not be as fit as we are now, with all the carbs we eat in season. When we are not traveling, and therefore on our own for meals, I try my best to keep with the pasta before games.

3. What age did you start playing your sport? It has been a while that's for sure. If I had to guess I would say probably around the age of 5. I was, and still am, the kid that always wanted to be outside doing some type of activity. Soccer just clicked.

4. Do you have a hidden or special talent? Hmm, I'm sure if you ask anyone that knows me well enough they could think of something good. However, the best I got is probably my speed which helps a lot in playing sports! I guess that is not really a talent though, is it?

5. What is your career goal? As I am in my senior year, I am in the process of doing internships with a variety of facilities hoping that one of them will guide me into what I would like to do for the rest of my life. I always told myself I wanted to be in the health field and working with children. I plan on either pursuing athletic training, physical therapy, or nursing.

6. What's on your music playlist? Country!! I do not mind other types of music though.

7. Do you have any pre-game rituals? I am definitely one of those superstitious players. When putting on gear I always put my left shin guard on, then right, then left sock on, then right, then left boot on, then right...And so on and so forth.

8. What is the best advice anyone has given you? The best advice that I have been given is probably that time is limited and you've got to make the most of it. Don't take anything for granted and to just play your game!

9. What are your hobbies off the field/court? I also play softball here for Potsdam, so after soccer is over I typically have a week or so before I transition over to that. Outside of the two sports, I love anything that is adventurous and keeps me going.

10. What's your favorite memory since playing for your institution? Honestly, every year is a different year and more exciting than the last. I love that our team has and wants to get better every year. My favorite memory has to be making it to playoffs for the first time in Potsdam women's soccer history. I do not think anything can top that right now, but we will see what the rest of the season brings.
