CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York (SUNYAC) is proud to announce the 2019 SUNYAC women's lacrosse annual awards. Every year the conference coaches vote on these awards to honor the SUNYAC Offensive, Defensive, Rookie, and Coach of the Year as well as the All-Conference teams.
Offensive Player of the Year:Hannah Marafioti, Geneseo 
A sophomore from Fairport, N.Y., Marafioti finished her second season as a Knight with 64 goals and 23 assists, totaling 87 points. The Knights finished the regular season at No. 1 and fell short in the SUNYAC championship game to end the season 14-5 overall. Marafioti was also named the 2018 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year.
Defensive Player of the Year: Danielle Walker, Oswego 
A Senior from Baldwinsville, N.Y., Walker has appeared in all 15 of Oswego's games this season. In those apperances she posted 60 ground balls, 19 draw controls, and 50 caused turnovers.
Rookie of the Year:Allison Jennings, Brockport 
A freshman attack from Memphis, N.Y., Jennings appeared in all 19 of the Eagle's games. She posted 40 goals and 12 assists for a total of 52 points overall. Jennings also totaled 25 ground balls, and 62 shots on goal so far this season as she heads to the NCAA tournament with her team this weekend.
Coach of the Year:Stephen Wagner, Brockport 
This year's Coach of the Year goes to Brockport's Stephen Wagner. The 2019 season marks his seventh year as the head coach of the Brockport women's lacrosse team. He led his team to a 13-4 victory over No. 1 Geneseo on Saturday to win the 2019 SUNYAC Championship title. His team is currently 15-4 overall as they head to the NCAA women's lacrosse tournament this weekend.
