HOUGHTON, N.Y. - Geneseo captured the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's indoor track and field championship with 166.5 points Saturday at Houghton College. This is their 10th SUNYAC title overall.
Record Breakers:
Chris Hannan a Senior at Oneonta broke the facility 5000m record with a time of 14:59.36.
Storm Malone a Senior at Cortland broke the facility and meet record for the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.14.
Christopher White a Senior at Cortland broke the facility Triple Jump record with a jump of 14.41m.
Tony DeYoung a Junior at Brockport broke the Shot put facility record with a throw of 16.45m.
Geneseo's 4x400 broke the facility record with a time of 3:21.93
Athletes of the Meet:
The SUNYAC honored both the Outstanding Track Athlete and Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet at the awards ceremony following the championships.
The Male Outstanding Track Athlete of the Meet was awarded to Oneonta's Nick Grasso.
The Male Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet was awarded to Cortland's Wendell Brand and Brockport's Christian Johnson.

Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, is an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, which recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The award winner for men's indoor track and field was given to Alexander Hepburn from Plattsburgh.
