CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected New Paltz teammates Emily Fox (Commack, N.Y.) as the Softball Pitcher of the Week and Nina Simms (Hopewell Junction, N.Y) as the Athlete of the Week.

Fox added three more strong outings to her breakout season this past week, going 3-1 in four starts. She hit her first career home run in a 7-1 win over SUNY Potsdam and then backed up her performance by going 3-for-3 in a 6-4 win the next day against Plattsburgh. Simms had seven multi-hit games over the Hawks' last eight-game stretch, while leading the team with nine RBIs and eight runs scored.
