Falsion, Lubanski named Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York (SUNYAC) has selected the Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week. Potsdam senior Brooke Falsion was honored as the Offensive Athlete of the Week, while Brockport senior Kimberly Lubanski has been chosen as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Falsion exploded for nine points this week on four goals and an assist. In a 5-0 blowout of SUNY Canton on Wednesday, she scored the game-winning goal and added an assist. Falsion recorded her second two-goal game of the season in a 5-2 win at Utica on Friday. She then capped her week with the game-winner in a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at Alfred State on Saturday.
Lubanski, Brockport's goalkeeper, posted her third shutout of the season, Saturday in a big win for the Golden Eagles. Lubanski also recorded her most career saves (17) in their loss to Nazareth College last week.
