OSWEGO, N.Y. - Cortland won its second-straight and 36th overall State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) baseball championship title, Saturday at Laker Baseball Field. With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament.
As the second seed, Cortland went undefeated in the double elimination tournament and defeated Plattsburgh, 12-9, Saturday to defend the SUNYAC crown. Read More.
Danny Coleman was named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP after averaging .500 at the plate with eight RBI and four walks in three games for the Red Dragons. In the win against Brockport for the conference trophy, Coleman homered and drove in four runs for Cortland.
