Villemaire and Ramonetti Honored with PrestoSports Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has tabbed Plattsburgh's Kirsten Villemaire the PrestoSports Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week and Cortland's Lexi Ramonetti as this week's top women's soccer defensive athlete.

Villemaire, the senior forward, scored two game-winning goals to help Plattsburgh to a pair of road victories last week. Villemaire began the week by scoring the game-winning goal in Plattsburgh's 5-0 win at Buffalo State on Friday, Oct. 8. She then concluded the week by scoring the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute of the Cardinals' 2-0 win at Fredonia on Saturday, Oct. 9. Villemaire also recorded 18 shots and nine shots on goal on the week.

Ramonetti posted a 1-0-1 record with 18 saves, a 1.000 save percentage, a 0.00 GAA and two shutouts in a pair of SUNYAC road games last weekend as Cortland improved to 6-4-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference. In a 0-0 double-overtime tie at Geneseo on Friday, she registered a career-best eight saves. Ramonetti followed that up with a career-high 10 saves as the Red Dragons defeated Brockport, 3-0, on Saturday. For the season, Ramonetti has posted a 4-1-1 record with a 0.17 GAA, a .970 save percentage and four solo shutouts all in SUNYAC play.
