McDonough and Fredenburg chosen as PrestoSports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has chosen Plattsburgh State's Aislyn McDonough and Brockport's Alayna Fredenburg  as it's PrestoSports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

McDonough set a program record in the 600-meter run at the SLU Open hosted by St. Lawrence University on Friday. She clocked an event-winning time of 1:38.86, bettering the former program mark of 1:41.78 set by Amy Pagani in 1983. McDonough also contributed the third leg on the Cardinals' first-place 4x400-meter relay that charted a time of 4:31.13.

Fredenburg placed first in the weight throw as she hit a new personal record with a throw of 16.70m. Fredenburg's throw keeps her in third place all time in program history beating her old record of 16.41m.
