Geneseo Women's Lacrosse Earns At-Large Bid To NCAA Tournament

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team will keep their 2022 season going as they earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament on Monday morning. The Knights will travel to Middlebury College and will take on St. Joseph's (ME) in the first round on May 14, with the winner advancing to play the Panthers the following day.

Geneseo enters the tournament with a 14-3 mark, with their only non-conference loss coming to William Smith. The Monks enter the first round matchup with an unblemished record of 20-0 after defeating Johnson and Wales in the GNAC championship game 10-9. 

This will mark the program's third appearance in the NCAA Tournament, with their previous two coming in 2013 and 2014. In 2014, the Knights reached the round of 16 after defeating Stevenson in a second round matchup.
