Brown and Elmer tabbed as PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tabs Geneseo's Madelynn Brown and Brockport's Morgan Elmer as PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

First-year attacker Brown led the Knights offense to a pair of victories by dropping 14 points. She tallied a team-high 6 points in a 16-13 win at St. John Fisher on three goals and three assists. She then scored seven goals against New Paltz, marking the most goals in a single-game by a first-year since Caroline Buonocore against Buffalo St. in 2011.

Elmer was 2-0 as Brockport's goalie last week. Elmer totaled 21 saves and allowed 14 goals as the squad defeated both Oswego and Oneonta at home. In the 13-9 win over Oneonta, Elmer made 15 stops in net as the Golden Eagles got the win and clinched the third seed for the SUNYAC Tournament. During last week she averaged 10.5 saves a game, seven goals allowed per game, and had a 60% saves percentage. She remains inside the top two in all three statistical categories in the SUNYAC.
