Beaulieu, Durante and Jirousek Earn PrestoSports Ice Hockey Weekly Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has picked Cortland's Shane Beaulieu and Luca Durante as this week's PrestoSports Ice Hockey Athlete and Goaltender of the Week respectively while Plattsburgh's Luk Jirousek was named the Rookie of the Week.

Beaulieu helped lead Cortland (7-4-1, 5-2-1 SUNYAC/17 points) to a pair of key home conference wins last weekend, netting his first two goals of the season. He scored the game's lone goal at 9:08 of the second period in a 1-0 win versus Buffalo St. on Friday and tallied the Red Dragons' second goal of the game in a 4-2 come-from-behind victory versus Fredonia on Saturday.

Durante posted a 2-0 record with a 1.00 GAA, 63 saves, a .969 save percentage and one shutout for the Red Dragons (7-4-1, 5-2-1 SUNYAC/17 points) last week. On Friday, he made 28 saves in posting his first career shutout in a 1-0 home win versus Buffalo St. Durante then stopped 35 shots as Cortland earned a come-from-behind 4-2 win at home versus Fredonia on Saturday to move into second place in the conference standings. For the season, he has posted a 7-2-1 record with a 2.17 GAA and a .938 save percentage.

First-year forward Jirousek tallied one overtime game-winning goal, one assist on a game-tying goal, two points, four shots on goal and a +2 rating to help Plattsburgh men's ice hockey to a 1-0-1 record last week. Jirousek began the week by assisting on the game-tying goal in Plattsburgh State's 2-2
