SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Cortland's Corinne Miedreich this week's PrestoSports Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Miedreich averaged 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and two steals per game in two Cortland home victories as the Red Dragons remained unbeaten in SUNYAC play. In a 62-46 win over New Paltz Friday, Miedreich scored 16 points and pulled down five rebounds in 25 minutes of action off the bench. The next afternoon in a 77-65 victory over Oneonta, Miedreich scored 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting (3-of-3 from 3-point range) in 20 minutes off the bench. For the two games, she shot a combined 67 percent from the field, including 83 percent (5-for-6) from 3-point range.
