SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tabs Geneseo's Sean Byrne and Brockport's Aidan Fitzgerald as PrestoSports Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.
Byrne led Geneseo to an 11-10 win over Oswego by scoring a team-high five points. Byrne led a second-half comeback by getting four of his five points in the second half, including two goals and an assist to open up the fourth quarter and give the Knights an 11-8 lead.
In the Golden Eagles 13-1 victory over Plattsburgh State on Saturday, Brockport's long stick midfielder Fitzgerald recorded a total of six caused turnovers and scooped up five ground balls. He also recorded a point in the game off an assist. Fitzgerald leads the team in both ground balls (64) and caused turnovers (34).
