Cortland women's lacrosse graduate student midfielder Hannah Lorenzen (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) has been selected as a 2022 Division III First Team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). In addition, Lorenzen was recognized as an honorable mention All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Lorenzen earned All-America honors for the second straight year; she was an IWLCA and USA Lacrosse Magazine third team honoree in 2021.

In 22 starts this spring, Lorenzen recorded 71 goals and 28 assists for 99 points. She led the Red Dragons in goals and points and was second in assists. Lorenzen scored seven game-winning goals and also registered 85 draw controls, 19 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.

Lorenzen's 99 points are the eighth-best single-season total in school history. Her 71 goals are tied for 10th best at Cortland, and her 85 draw controls are the seventh-highest total by a Red Dragon since the stat was first officially tracked in 1998.

For her career from 2018-22, Lorenzen played in 77 games, 48 as a starter, and totaled 179 goals, 57 assists, 236 points, 245 draw controls, 89 ground balls and 51 caused turnovers. She ranks 11th in school history in goals and tied for 11th in points, as well as ranking sixth (since 1998) in draw controls. Lorenzen scored at least one goal in every game during the 2021 and 2022 seasons (as well as the abbreviated three-game schedule in 2020).

Cortland finished the season with a 17-5 overall record and 9-0 SUNYAC mark. The Red Dragons repeated as SUNYAC champion and won two NCAA playoff games before falling at TCNJ in the third round to tie for ninth-place nationally.
