SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) awards Madison Maggs of New Paltz as its PrestoSports Softball Athlete of the Week.
Playing in her first game in two years, in game one, Maggs pinched hit in the sixth and knocked an RBI single in her only at-bat of the game. She got the start at second in game two and had a standout performance, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and three runs scored, including a fourth-inning grand slam that helped mercy-rule Rutgers-Camden in the five-inning 11-1 win. She finished the two-game series batting .750 with a slugging percentage of 1.500.
