SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) honors Sydney Bond and Sarah Hoeffner of Plattsburgh State as PrestoSports Tennis Singles and Doubles Athletes of the Week.
Bond won both of her matches at No. 1 singles in a 2-0 week for the Cardinals to open the spring portion of their schedule. She won, 6-2, 6-3, against her counterpart from Mount Saint Mary College in a 9-0 victory before prevailing, 7-5, 6-0, versus her her opponent from Bard College in a 9-0 win.
Bond and Hoeffner won a pair of matches at No. 1 doubles to help the Cardinals go 2-0 for the week in their first matches of the spring portion of their schedule. Bond and Hoeffner won, 8-2, against their counterparts from Mount Saint Mary College in a 9-0 win before topping their opponents by the same score in a 9-0 victory over Bard College.
