SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces Geneseo's Nicky Andrews and Brockport's Art Jordan as PrestoSports Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Andrews made his collegiate debut in the 3,000 steeplechase at the University of Rochester Spring Classic on Friday. Andrews finished in 9:10.14 to win the event, ranking third best in Geneseo program history and third in NCAA Division III this season.
Indoor NCAA shot put qualifier Jordan won the men's shot put with an outdoor PR throw of 16.28m on Friday at the University of Rochester Spring Classic. His new outdoor personal best ranks sixth all-time at Brockport and is currently third on the outdoor national qualifying list. Jordan also placed second in the discus throw with a toss of 41.86m and he added a sixth place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.75m.
